I worked there for about two years. I was a “shorthand typist “. For Mr D.G.Quick and filled in when Mr Hargreaves’ secretary was away. Mr. Quock was running the archery business which was very successful.

As part of my job I put together a catalogue of goods sold by Hargreaves. I am still in possession of a copy and would gladly give it to the company for their archives. A pair of football boots costs upwards of 38 shillings!
